The York fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Evans Mehta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Onsare in the 41st minute of play forced York's goalkeeper Nashon Nzeki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Zablon Ereng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nashon Nzeki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nashon Nzeki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Onsare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Onsare to strike the kick off in the second half. Martin Onsare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nashon Nzeki having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julius Hassan during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes York got a freekick which was hit by Julius Hassan. After 56 played minutes York got a freekick which was hit by Evans Mehta. With a little luck, Chylla FC's Michael Kivilu got control of the ball when Evans Mehta tried to sneak it across the goal line. The York players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
