Cyrus Israel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siaree Amanaka having to interfere. John Ntalami charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Ntalami the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Erith got a freekick which was hit by John Ntalami. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mwai Emilio Odinga in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siaree Amanaka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Kosgei in the 34th minute of play forced Erith's goalkeeper Siaree Amanaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cyrus Israel came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Blackheath fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyrus Israel couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fredrick Ruto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Erith's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrick Ruto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yobes Wambua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Erith getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Tony Owino hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the game, Robert Kosgei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Siaree Amanaka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sammy Njoroge's late challenge caught a Erith's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sammy Njoroge helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Munyoro Otunga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 50thth minute of the game Cyrus Israel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Erith's Siaree Amanaka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurice Omosh was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin Kiprop's late challenge caught a Erith's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Kiprop helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Blackheath getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Benjamin Kiprop hit a great ball. Fredrick Ruto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yobes Wambua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrick Ruto in the 59th minute of play. Maurice Omosh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Wambua having to interfere. Mwai Emilio Odinga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Erith booed when Blackheath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mwai Emilio Odinga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Erith's Fredrick Ruto got a free kick in the 86th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Blackheath's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrick Ruto came free, but Yobes Wambua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cyrus Israel took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Siaree Amanaka. Siaree Amanaka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
