Emilio Ntalami made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Kiprop in the 3rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dann Kigotho in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yobes Wambua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yobes Wambua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dann Kigotho, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Cyrus Israel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Robert Kosgei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Emilio Ntalami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ratemo Akinyi's late challenge caught a Blackheath's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ratemo Akinyi helped the player get up and apologised. Ratemo Akinyi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to Blackheath getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tom Kemboi hit a great ball. John Matu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Wambua having to interfere. Dann Kigotho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yobes Wambua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 34 played minutes Blackheath got a freekick which was hit by Mwai Emilio Odinga. In the 35th minute of the match Ali Ndereba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yobes Wambua showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dann Kigotho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Yobes Wambua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Walthamstow. In the 44th match minute, Blackheath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mwai Emilio Odinga to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Robert Kosgei made the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd match minute, Blackheath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Njoroge to maneuver through the defense. If Dann Kigotho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josephat Limo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of Walthamstow booed when Blackheath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ngina Valdo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
