Joseph Akida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when aterbu fc's Jonathan Otieno fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After some careless play in the aterbu fc defense, Jonathan Waithaka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joseph Akida. The aterbu fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joseph Akida should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind aterbu fc's goalkeeper Joseph Akida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joseph Akida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Kiptanui in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Maidenhead's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Otieno came free, but Levi Kosgei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Stephen Nduro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maidenhead and the aterbu fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maidenhead! The goalkeeper, Levi Kosgei, was totally fooled by aterbu fc's William Mosop, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Joseph Akida didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Jonathan Waithaka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Maidenhead's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave aterbu fc the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Jonathan Waithaka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes aterbu fc got a freekick which was hit by Martin Bommet. Michael Kiptanui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joseph Akida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fumo Waruinge helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Maidenhead booed when aterbu fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fumo Waruinge didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Kiptanui in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joseph Akida saved aterbu fc from getting behind. Sudha Nabwire hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes, Michael Kiptanui made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. aterbu fc's Joseph Akida tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Waithaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Akida having to interfere. Maidenhead's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
