Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robert Kosgei kicked off to start the match. Fredrick Ruto took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yobes Wambua. Yobes Wambua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Fredrick Ruto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yobes Wambua having to make a save. After 12 minutes, Tom Kemboi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blackheath and the Erith players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Blackheath fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Erith a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tony Owino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Blackheath's Yobes Wambua. 0-2. Antony Ogot hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Fredrick Ruto might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yobes Wambua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrick Ruto ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Omosh in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yobes Wambua saved Blackheath from getting behind. Fredrick Ruto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yobes Wambua having to make a save. Yobes Wambua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Omosh, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Cyrus Israel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Blackheath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Kosgei to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurice Omosh made a kick off. After 69 minutes of play, Blackheath's Cyrus Israel made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siaree Amanaka was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yobes Wambua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Omosh in the 75th minute of play. Cyrus Israel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siaree Amanaka having to interfere. Siaree Amanaka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Kosgei, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Yobes Wambua successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Cyrus Israel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Erith booed when Blackheath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mwai Emilio Odinga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurice Omosh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Wambua having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Kosgei in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siaree Amanaka saved Erith from getting behind. In the 96th minute Cyrus Israel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siaree Amanaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
