In the 11thth minute of the game Yusuf Mutuku who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slim Team's Yobes Waruinge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francis Saitoti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Matiba, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Paul Kevoo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yobes Waruinge having to interfere. After some careless play in the man town defense, Norbert Matiba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francis Saitoti. The man town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francis Saitoti should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Kevoo got free with Yobes Waruinge in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Yusuf Mutuku got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 25 minutes, Paul Kevoo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. man town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Kevoo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in man town fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Slim Team a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmund Kush, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of man town's Francis Saitoti. 0-2. When George Leakey fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored man town's protests and gave George Leakey a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes man town got a freekick which was hit by George Leakey. The man town fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when man town's David Sulumeti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Slim Team's zone, Paul Kevoo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yobes Waruinge came out of the goal and Paul Kevoo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, man town's Yobes Waruinge threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yusuf Mutuku, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Yobes Waruinge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Kevoo in the 43rd minute. If Norbert Matiba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Kipchirchir Mutheu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norbert Matiba to strike the kick off in the second half. Yobes Waruinge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Sulumeti in the 54th minute of play. Daniel Kipchirchir Mutheu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Malcolm Kamani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Kiprugut took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yobes Waruinge. Slim Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yobes Waruinge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Ogot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Sulumeti kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Daniel Kipchirchir Mutheu came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Francis Saitoti could save by the left post. man town's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Kipchirchir Mutheu 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Paul Kevoo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Kipchirchir Mutheu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Francis Saitoti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Rodgers Kosgei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, man town's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Matiba came free, but Francis Saitoti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Slim Team got a freekick which was hit by Mo Kobia. David Sulumeti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Yobes Waruinge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Slim Team got a freekick which was hit by Julius Sulumeti.
