Dennis Muhoho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ilkeston's Cyrus Sang got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute Ngina Otieno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Muhoho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ngina Otieno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kassim Roy in the 32nd minute of play forced Ilkeston's goalkeeper Abdallah Ali Muiruri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Dove Holes's Dennis Muhoho got control of the ball when Michael Limo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ngina Otieno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Muhoho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Njuguna Saleh Nabhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ngina Otieno took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Muhoho. Abdallah Ali Muiruri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Njuguna Saleh Nabhan in the 64th minute of play. Ilkeston's Abdallah Ali Muiruri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Ilkeston from getting a goal against them. Abdallah Ali Muiruri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Wangila, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Dennis Muhoho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ngina Otieno took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Muhoho. Dennis Muhoho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Ilkeston walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
