Curtis Akinyi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Omar Kogo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abdallah Ali Muiruri came out and tried to block the shot, but Omar Kogo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 58th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Curtis Akinyi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abdallah Ali Muiruri. That made the score 0-7 in the 61 minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Ngina Otieno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilkeston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ngina Otieno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Curtis Akinyi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdallah Ali Muiruri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Ilkeston's Ngina Otieno got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilkeston's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Curtis Akinyi scored to the left of an out of position Abdallah Ali Muiruri, making the score, 0-9. High Coniscliffe's Curtis Akinyi got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 minutes of play, High Coniscliffe's Jehovah Keino made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdallah Ali Muiruri was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilkeston's goalkeeper Abdallah Ali Muiruri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of High Coniscliffe booed when Ilkeston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyrus Sang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ngina Otieno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Kogo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Abdallah Ali Muiruri made a huge save. The High Coniscliffe supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing High Coniscliffe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
