Seating: 1950, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Samuel Akinyi kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Great Addington's Samuel Akinyi got a free kick in the 7th minute. Wilson Ogot made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Christopher Gathoni sent off a good shot on target. If Samuel Akinyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Akinyi in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennis Muhoho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Fred Kiptanui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Akinyi struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dennis Muhoho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Addington. In the 29th minute, Geoffrey Songok hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Dove Holes's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Akinyi came free, but Dennis Muhoho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes of play, Great Addington's Samuel Akinyi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Muhoho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olga Ogot kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Wilson Ogot was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Duncan Oliech. A collision led to Great Addington getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Michael Cheruiyot hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Njuguna Saleh Nabhan was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Maurice Saleh Nabhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Great Addington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Saleh Nabhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kassim Roy in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Ogot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Great Addington's Michael Cheruiyot got a free kick in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Great Addington's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Wangila came free, but Wilson Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Ogot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Njuguna Saleh Nabhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Samuel Akinyi fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Addington's protests and gave Samuel Akinyi a yellow card for diving instead. Samuel Akinyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Akinyi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dennis Muhoho came out and tried to block the shot, but Samuel Akinyi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 76th minute. Dennis Muhoho was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Samuel Akinyi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samuel Akinyi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 85th minute Samuel Akinyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Muhoho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dove Holes's Dennis Muhoho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Akinyi in the 89th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Fred Kiptanui kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dennis Muhoho. That made the score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. Great Addington's Samuel Akinyi got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Great Addington walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
