TURKS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mo Temu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdallah Ali Muiruri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 13 minutes of play, TURKS FC's Mo Temu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdallah Ali Muiruri was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 15 minutes, Wilson Shah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TURKS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Shah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the TURKS FC defense, Ngina Otieno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francis Waithaka. The TURKS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francis Waithaka should have stopped the shot. Abdallah Ali Muiruri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilson Shah went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Francis Mudavadi hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Abdallah Ali Muiruri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mo Temu in the 30th minute of play. John Kiptum could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Abdallah Ali Muiruri made a huge save. In the 40th minute, David Nabwire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francis Waithaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyrus Sang in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Wilson Shah made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Ilkeston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyrus Sang to maneuver through the defense. When TURKS FC's Wilson Shah in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ilkeston's goalie prevented a goal. The referee ignored TURKS FC's protests and gave David Nabwire a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, David Nabwire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francis Mudavadi during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Ilkeston got a freekick which was hit by Francis Mudavadi. TURKS FC's Wilson Shah got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cyrus Sang kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Ilkeston's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Muirui came free, but Abdallah Ali Muiruri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes Ilkeston got a freekick which was hit by Francis Mudavadi. In the 93rd minute John Kiptum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdallah Ali Muiruri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TURKS FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ilkeston had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
