Ibrahim Ngoka came out of the goal and Gideon Griffin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Broughton Astley booed when Gosport United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Ongao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siaree Ntalami, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Broughton Astley's Gideon Griffin in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 25th minute, Gideon Griffin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Broughton Astley's Gideon Griffin got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Wilson Ruto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Broughton Astley's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Ruto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ibrahim Ngoka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Broughton Astley fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Broughton Astley's Wilson Ruto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Philip Uche made the kick off in the second half. Mehmood Matu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ibrahim Ngoka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Ruto in the 81st minute of the match. Gideon Griffin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 played minutes Gosport United got a freekick which was hit by John Birir. Wilson Ruto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Ngoka having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Broughton Astley left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gosport United.
