Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jawahir Shikanda got the match started through his kick off. In the 10th minute, Richard Muhoho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-2 when David Kimeu sped through Widnes United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of John Biwott. In the 38th minute, Jawahir Shikanda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kemsing United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 44th minute Jawahir Shikanda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Biwott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Widnes United's goal looked a bit too open when Jawahir Shikanda came free, but John Biwott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Kemsing United were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Stephen Koech made the kick off in the second half. If Dedan Kariuki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kemsing United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dedan Kariuki was slow to take the kick. During this time Widnes United's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Dedan Kariuki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kemsing United's Dennis Uche did a great save. John Biwott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jawahir Shikanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Widnes United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Jawahir Shikanda scored to the left of an out of position John Biwott, making the score, 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jawahir Shikanda in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Biwott saved Widnes United from getting behind. David Kimeu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves David Chege could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which John Biwott however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Kemsing United's David Chege got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Dedan Kariuki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Kimeu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. John Biwott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Widnes United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pius Koskei to maneuver through the defense. The Widnes United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kemsing United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
