James Rop hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, FC Mfanyakazi Mombasa's goal looked a bit too open when George Chepkemei came free, but Mwai Emilio Mwangi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Mohinda Githongo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Mfanyakazi Mombasa's Mwai Emilio Mwangi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Josephat Cheruiyot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Controller Uche skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josephat Cheruiyot to make the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match Joe Maish sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mwai Emilio Mwangi skillfully saved the ball. Mwai Emilio Mwangi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohinda Githongo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Strong Warriors Fc.'s Mwai Emilio Mwangi threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kassim Ngeny, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC Mfanyakazi Mombasa's Mwai Emilio Mwangi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kassim Ngeny in the 81st minute of play. Joe Maish kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Josephat Cheruiyot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Winfred Bommet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
