Billy Waruinge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Kigotho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Paul Ndereba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Mwangi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Francis Rotich fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bournemouth's protests and gave Francis Rotich a yellow card for diving instead. David Mwangi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Oloo in the 28th minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kipchoge Lukoye was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Solfam fc's Moses Imathiu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billy Waruinge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paul Ndereba was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Bournemouth's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bournemouth's zone, Wilson Kigotho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billy Waruinge came out of the goal and Wilson Kigotho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Samuel Ngoka fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bournemouth's protests and gave Samuel Ngoka a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Solfam fc booed when Bournemouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Ngoka didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Samuel Ngoka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Solfam fc got a freekick which was hit by Swaleh Chemjor. 74 minutes into the match, Bournemouth's Charles Musyoka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Mwangi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ismael Oloo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Solfam fc's Kipchoge Lukoye nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billy Waruinge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Kipchoge Lukoye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Billy Waruinge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Moses Imathiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kipchoge Lukoye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Waruinge having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bournemouth's Ismael Oloo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Moses Imathiu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Billy Waruinge. Billy Waruinge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
