In the 22nd minute of the match Evans Uche shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Keino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fredrick Israel struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Samuel Keino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitton. After 25 played minutes Stocksbridge got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Wangeci. After having played for 26 minutes, Kipchoge Wambua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kipchoge Wambua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Stocksbridge's Mo ibn Abi Bakr got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Douglas Waroo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Waroo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Waroo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vincent Mutheu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Origi having to interfere. Kipchoge Wambua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kipchoge Wambua to strike the kick off in the second half. Matthew Shikwati hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the game, Christopher Wangeci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stocksbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whitton the free kick. Christopher Wangeci kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Dan Masai missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 60 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the John Origi right hand side. In the 64th minute Stocksbridge were awarded a corner. Duncan Birir went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Duncan Birir almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Whitton's John Origi did a great save. 69 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge's goalkeeper Samuel Keino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredrick Israel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kipchoge Wambua in the 70th minute of play forced Stocksbridge's goalkeeper Samuel Keino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naftali Ogot kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Duncan Birir sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Whitton's John Origi didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Stocksbridge's Vincent Mutheu got a free kick in the 74th minute. Samuel Keino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kipchoge Wambua in the 79th minute of the match. If Kipchoge Wambua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Kipchoge Wambua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Whitton players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Stocksbridge from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
