But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Kigotho couldn't finish the play. Kipchoge Lukoye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Keino having to interfere. When Solfam fc's Swaleh Chemjor in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Stocksbridge's Samuel Keino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Stocksbridge from getting a goal against them. The Stocksbridge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Keino should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Swaleh Chemjor to strike the kick off in the second half.
