Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Fredrick Israel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrick Israel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fredrick Israel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Leakey kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Kipchoge Wambua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute, Fredrick Israel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kipchoge Wambua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Mufasa FC's Micheal Shikanda got control of the ball when Fredrick Israel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Whitton's zone, Norbert Pinches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Origi came out of the goal and Norbert Pinches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Origi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Kosgei, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredrick Israel got free with Micheal Shikanda in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute of the match Titus Origi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Origi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kipchoge Wambua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Micheal Shikanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Whitton booed when Mufasa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Leakey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Micheal Shikanda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kipchoge Wambua, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Micheal Shikanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrick Israel in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Douglas Waroo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mufasa FC the free kick. A collision led to Whitton getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Douglas Waroo hit a great ball. Louis Wakiihuri, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ali Kosgei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without John Origi having to make a save. Norbert Pinches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. John Origi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mufasa FC's Micheal Shikanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kipchoge Wambua in the 73rd minute of play. With a little luck, Whitton's John Origi got control of the ball when Ali Kosgei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ali Kosgei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Norbert Pinches came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Mufasa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Pinches couldn't finish the play. Louis Wakiihuri kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kipchoge Wambua in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Micheal Shikanda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucas Kosgei kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Whitton's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
