After a defensive mix-up in Whitton's zone, Myles Ongao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Origi came out of the goal and Myles Ongao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Alfie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, John Alfie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Origi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After the first half Poulton-Le-Fylde were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredrick Israel made a kick off. John Alfie in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of John Origi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sudha Kitur in the 54th minute of play forced Whitton's goalkeeper John Origi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kipchoge Wambua during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Alfie couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Myles Ongao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poulton-Le-Fylde's supporters rose to their feet, but Myles Ongao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Origi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John Origi made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when David Ereng sent off a good shot on target. If Myles Ongao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kipchoge Wambua kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. John Origi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Poulton-Le-Fylde's Sudha Kitur shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. 76 minutes into the match, Whitton's goal looked a bit too open when Sudha Kitur came free, but John Origi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Myles Ongao cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5.
