Acinus City's Charles Ogot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Rono in the 3rd minute of play. Charles Ogot came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Bridgnorth's Felix Kipketer. But to his dismay, Felix Kipketer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th match minute, Acinus City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francis Birir to maneuver through the defense. Felix Kipketer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Ogot having to interfere. Michael Rono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Ogot having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Joseph Kimutai charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph Kimutai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Acinus City got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Kimutai. Gabriel Kipsos, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hezekiah Tergat charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hezekiah Tergat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Acinus City! Acinus City:s Charles Ogot showed great skill when he stopped Gabriel Kipsos:s penalty. With a little luck, Acinus City's Charles Ogot got control of the ball when Michael Rono tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acinus City's Charles Ogot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Acinus City from getting a goal against them. Acinus City's Francis Ondieki got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charles Ogot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Kipketer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Michael Rono took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Ogot. Charles Ogot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Stephen Anush had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Controller Valdo charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Controller Valdo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Controller Valdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Temu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Mbugua having to interfere. When Peter Temu came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Acinus City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Temu couldn't finish the play. Charles Mohamed hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Bridgnorth's Francis Mbugua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Ondieki in the 99th minute of play. Bridgnorth played a much better game than Acinus City and deserved their victory. The Acinus City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
