After a defensive mix-up in Team Name's zone, Richard Nduro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Leakey came out of the goal and Richard Nduro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedan Nyambura kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes Team Name got a freekick which was hit by Mohinda Okoth. 8 minutes into the game, Haslingden United's Richard Nduro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christopher Leakey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Richard Nduro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christopher Leakey was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Benjamin Njoroge kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Dedan Nyambura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dann Okoth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Mohinda Okoth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Njeri Jonny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dann Okoth in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Bonaventure Adhiambo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Alfie in the 27th minute of play forced Haslingden United's goalkeeper Njeri Jonny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Njeri Jonny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohinda Okoth in the 29th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Richard Nduro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Team Name's Christopher Leakey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Patrick Alfie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Team Name's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haslingden United the free kick. After 35 played minutes Team Name got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Alfie. Christopher Leakey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrick Koskei in the 42nd minute of the match. Christopher Leakey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Nduro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Sudha Asati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Leakey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Leakey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Nduro's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. After the first half Haslingden United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrick Koskei in the 51st minute of play forced Team Name's goalkeeper Christopher Leakey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Richard Nduro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christopher Leakey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Dann Okoth hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Fredrick Biwott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Nduros short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Christopher Leakey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fredrick Biwott struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Christopher Leakey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haslingden United. In the 76th play minute Sudha Asati came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Christopher Leakey. 0-4. Richard Nduro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christopher Leakey having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Team Name's zone, Fredrick Biwott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Leakey came out of the goal and Fredrick Biwott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yusuf Israel kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Richard Nduro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Leakey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrick Koskei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Christopher Leakey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Nduro in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christopher Leakey, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 89th minute, Antony Awino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Leakey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Nduro in the 90th minute. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Haslingden United's Dedan Nyambura got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Christopher Leakey. Haslingden United played a much better game than Team Name and deserved their victory. The Team Name players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
