Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Josephat Adhiambo started the match with the kick off. When Charles Mohamed fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bridgnorth's protests and gave Charles Mohamed a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hazel Sport Club booed when Bridgnorth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Mohamed didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Kipketer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Julius Nyamau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wycliff Lukoye hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Bridgnorth's Felix Kipketer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julius Nyamau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute Josephat Adhiambo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Mbugua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Rono could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Julius Nyamau made a huge save. In the 22nd match minute, Bridgnorth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rashmikant Sitienei to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hazel Sport Club's Billy Mbindyo got a free kick in the 27th minute. Felix Kipketer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wycliff Lukoye hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Michael Rono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Nyamau having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Hazel Sport Club's Josephat Adhiambo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francis Mbugua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Felix Kipketer made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Hazel Sport Club's zone, Felix Kipketer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julius Nyamau came out of the goal and Felix Kipketer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bridgnorth booed when Hazel Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Munji didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes Gabriel Kipsos shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Julius Nyamau when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Julius Nyamau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Kipketer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Rono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Julius Nyamau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Controller Waithaka's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Francis Mbugua skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Michael Rono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bridgnorth's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Rono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julius Nyamau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julius Nyamau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Rono in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Rono in the 81st minute of play forced Hazel Sport Club's goalkeeper Julius Nyamau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Rono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Hazel Sport Club defense, Felix Kipketer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julius Nyamau. The Hazel Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julius Nyamau should have stopped the shot. Julius Nyamau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Kipketer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bridgnorth's Gabriel Kipsos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julius Nyamau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Kipketer in the 96th minute of play forced Hazel Sport Club's goalkeeper Julius Nyamau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hezekiah Waithaka kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Bridgnorth players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
