After recieving a nice pass, Accrington's Eliud Njenga tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Moses Rubia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moses Rubia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Nyamau having to interfere. Ratemo Nekesa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Nyamau having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 25th minute when Ratemo Nekesa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ratemo Nekesa scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julius Nyamau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Controller Waithaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurice Masai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josephat Adhiambo in the 37th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Wycliff Lukoye had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurice Masai. Accrington's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wycliff Lukoye was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moses Rubia was the one to do the kick off. Julius Nyamau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moses Rubia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moses Rubia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Nyamau having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, Hazel Sport Club's Controller Waithaka made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurice Masai was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, Accrington's goal looked a bit too open when Controller Waithaka came free, but Maurice Masai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josephat Adhiambo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Accrington's Ratemo Nekesa got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hazel Sport Club's Bwana Rono got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a little luck, Hazel Sport Club's Julius Nyamau got control of the ball when Ratemo Nekesa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute Josephat Adhiambo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurice Masai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gideon Otunga hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Hazel Sport Club's Controller Waithaka in 81 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Maurice Masai guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Accrington's Moses Rubia got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Accrington's Ratemo Nekesa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julius Nyamau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hazel Sport Club's Wycliff Lukoye got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hazel Sport Club's zone, Moses Rubia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julius Nyamau came out of the goal and Moses Rubia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
