Francis Mbugua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sudha Asati in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Bridgnorth's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Nduro came free, but Francis Mbugua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bridgnorth's Francis Mbugua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Nduro in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Nduro in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francis Mbugua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Bridgnorth's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Nduro came free, but Francis Mbugua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Francis Mbugua came out of the goal and Richard Nduro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Bridgnorth's Gabriel Kipsos got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Richard Nduro in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Francis Mbugua, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Haslingden United played a much better game than Bridgnorth and deserved their victory. The Bridgnorth players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
