Duncan Masai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charles Ogot having to make a save. Duncan Masai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Charles Ogot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Joseph Kimutai fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Acinus City's protests and gave Joseph Kimutai a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chingford AFC booed when Acinus City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Kimutai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duncan Masai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Ogot having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Acinus City's Joseph Kimutai got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Acinus City! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Griffin to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lucas Griffin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chingford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Griffin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Ogot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles Ogot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Griffin, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 56 played minutes Acinus City got a freekick which was hit by Charles Nyamau. John Waroo came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Acinus City's Peter Temu. But to his dismay, Peter Temu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Acinus City's Charles Ogot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Griffin in the 63rd minute of play. Charles Ogot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Griffin in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Acinus City getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Fred Saleh Nabhan hit a great ball. Stephen Anush fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Waroo having to interfere. John Waroo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Temu in the 78th minute of play. Fazul Ogot kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. George Wangila's late challenge caught a Acinus City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Wangila helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Chingford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Wangila to maneuver through the defense.
