Paul Musyoka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Musyoka made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Sarun got free with Francis Mbugua in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bridgnorth's Rashmikant Sitienei got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Rashmikant Sitienei off the ground. When David Mulama came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the city club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Mulama couldn't finish the play. James Sarun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francis Mbugua having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paul Musyoka in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francis Mbugua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Michael Rono left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bridgnorth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Mohamed in the 91st minute of play forced city club's goalkeeper Githinji Mbugua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to city club getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. William Leakey hit a great ball. The supporters of Bridgnorth booed when city club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Mutuku didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes, Bridgnorth's Gabriel Kipsos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Githinji Mbugua came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bridgnorth reached it. Despite being the better team, city club failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
