Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Moses Rubia started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 minutes of play, Haslingden United's Sudha Asati made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurice Masai was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute Richard Nduro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurice Masai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Nduro in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurice Masai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Nduro might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurice Masai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richard Nduro ran back to his position shaking his head. Ratemo Nekesa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Accrington's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Nduro came free, but Maurice Masai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Accrington booed when Haslingden United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sudha Asati didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Ocholla's late challenge caught a Haslingden United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Ocholla helped the player get up and apologised. Maurice Masai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Nduro in the 28th minute of the match. Okot Akoth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richard Nduro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Sudha Asati had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurice Masai. Accrington's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sudha Asati was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The Accrington players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Haslingden United were winning 0-4.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richard Nduro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sudha Asati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurice Masai having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Accrington got a freekick which was hit by Gideon Otunga. After 62 played minutes Accrington got a freekick which was hit by Gideon Otunga. Richard Nduro struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Maurice Masai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haslingden United. Fredrick Koskei might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurice Masai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrick Koskei ran back to his position shaking his head. Accrington's Maurice Masai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Accrington from getting a goal against them. Haslingden United's Richard Nduro got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Accrington got a freekick which was hit by Michael Osoro. After 76 minutes, Richard Nduro made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Accrington's Maurice Masai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Maurice Masai managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Haslingden United's Richard Nduro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th minute, Fredrick Biwott reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maurice Masai. The goal made the score 0-7. The supporters of Accrington booed when Haslingden United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonaventure Adhiambo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Nduro got free with Maurice Masai in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Richard Nduro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Maurice Masai when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Accrington fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Haslingden United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
