When Philip Kiprugut fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dallas FC's protests and gave Philip Kiprugut a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brighton booed when Dallas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Kiprugut didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 minutes of play, Dallas FC's Maurice Shikwati made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brighton's Hassan Waroo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Dallas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hassan Waroo came free, but Evans Rono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Brighton's goalkeeper Nashon Nekesa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurice Shikwati. Jackson Nduro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nashon Nekesa having to make a save. Antony Nyambura's late challenge caught a Dallas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antony Nyambura helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Brighton got a freekick which was hit by David Kagai Nyambura. Nashon Nekesa made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Maurice Shikwati sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute, Jackson Nduro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nashon Nekesa. The goal made the score 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hassan Waroo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nashon Nekesa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson Nduro in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brighton's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hassan Waroo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evans Rono having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Brighton's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Shikwati came free, but Nashon Nekesa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nashon Nekesa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Shikwati, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Uche kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Philip Kiprugut missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 78 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Nashon Nekesa right hand side. Hassan Waroo charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hassan Waroo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Brighton getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Hassan Waroo hit a great ball. Jackson Nduro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nashon Nekesa having to interfere. Nashon Nekesa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Shikwati in the 91st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Shikwati in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nashon Nekesa saved Brighton from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dallas FC fully deserved thier win.
