An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Chepchumba in the 7th minute of play forced FLASH FC's goalkeeper John Alfie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FLASH FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Clinton Kariuki hit a great ball. In the 10th match minute, FLASH FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Oduor to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Tony Githongo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Alfie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes FLASH FC got a freekick which was hit by Josephat Mulama. 17 minutes into the game, Daniel Oduor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FLASH FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Restaurante Salento the free kick. Daniel Oduor kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Kiplagat in the 18th minute of play forced FLASH FC's goalkeeper John Alfie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Richard Israel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FLASH FC's John Alfie. John Alfie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th match minute, FLASH FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Yiampoy to maneuver through the defense. John Alfie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samson Kalekye in the 29th minute of play. John Alfie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Githongo in the 33rd minute of the match. Njuguna Kiplagat got a throw-in 36 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Walter Chelanga. Tony Githongo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Alfie. John Alfie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 40th minute, Samson Kalekye ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Alfie was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. John Alfie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Githongo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Tony Githongo took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Alfie. John Alfie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After the first half Restaurante Salento were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Silvano Luzea made the kick off in the second half. Josephat Mulama hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Tony Githongo took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Alfie. John Alfie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 57th minute, Restaurante Salento's Amos Chepchumba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind John Alfie. John Alfie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. FLASH FC's John Alfie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save FLASH FC from getting a goal against them. Wilson Yiampoy kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Tony Githongo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of John Alfie. The goal made the score 0-8. Amos Chepchumba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Alfie having to interfere. With a little luck, FLASH FC's John Alfie got control of the ball when Tony Githongo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute, Josephat Mulama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Alfie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Githongo in the 72nd minute. John Alfie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Israel, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Restaurante Salento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Chepchumba to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Restaurante Salento's Njuguna Kiplagat got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 89th minute of the match Josephat Mulama shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ngethe Mutuku showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Restaurante Salento's Amos Chepchumba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Alfie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. After 95 played minutes Restaurante Salento got a freekick which was hit by Njuguna Kiplagat. Restaurante Salento's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
