Dorival Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorival Sarmento might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Uche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorival Sarmento ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Daniel Ndereba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Uche. Brighton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Ndereba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 24th minute Nicolae Ceaușescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Uche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Uche came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Hamunaptra's Dorival Sarmento. But to his dismay, Dorival Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Sarmento in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Uche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorival Sarmento made a kick off. Dorival Sarmentos short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Wilson Uche to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolae Ceaușescu got free with Wilson Uche in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Njoroge in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Uche saved Brighton from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Nicolae Ceaușescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Uche. The goal made the score 0-11. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Sarmento in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Moses Kipkoech fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brighton's protests and gave Moses Kipkoech a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Brighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moses Kipkoech to maneuver through the defense. After 97 minutes of play Brighton's Moses Kipkoech was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. FC Hamunaptra's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
