Restaurante Salento's Ngethe Mutuku proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Restaurante Salento from getting a goal against them. Paul Ogot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute Fredrick Ntalami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ngethe Mutuku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Tatooine Local Club's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Israel came free, but Paul Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ngethe Mutuku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Lagat in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Tatooine Local Club's goal looked a bit too open when Evans Shah came free, but Paul Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Restaurante Salento's Ngethe Mutuku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrick Ntalami in the 18th minute of play. Evans Shah hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Fredrick Ntalami dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ngethe Mutuku, 1-1. Ngethe Mutuku was a little too slow when Charles Wambui got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 25th minute, Richard Israel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Musimbi Karimi kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Paul Ogot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evans Shah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute of the match Restaurante Salento got a corner. Tatooine Local Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robert Kiplagat ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Chuma Mwangi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paul Ogot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Amos Chepchumba charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amos Chepchumba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Charles Wambui got free in front of the goal in the 34th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ngethe Mutuku was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Myles Khayeshe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Ngethe Mutuku made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Amos Chepchumba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Myles Khayeshe could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Ngethe Mutuku however easily saved by the left post. With an all-out effort, Tatooine Local Club's Ngethe Mutuku threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fazul Mwaura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 46 minutes into the game, Dennis Wanjohi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tatooine Local Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Restaurante Salento the free kick. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evans Shah made a kick off. Paul Ogot was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 91 minutes, Walter Chelanga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Restaurante Salento and the Tatooine Local Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Restaurante Salento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Chelanga to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Njuguna Kiplagat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Restaurante Salento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tatooine Local Club the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Restaurante Salento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Njuguna Kiplagat to maneuver through the defense. James Wanjiru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ngethe Mutuku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tatooine Local Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
