Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andy Gardener kicked off to start the match. Airblue's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vern Wiley 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy Gardener in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Lambert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wally Howarth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Atkinson went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the match, Russell McDonald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Lambert. Hadleigh United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Russell McDonald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Christian Lambert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andy Gardener's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Andy Gardener who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hadleigh United's Christian Lambert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 33 minutes, Andy Gardener made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Hadleigh United's Christian Lambert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Gardener in the 37th minute of play forced Hadleigh United's goalkeeper Christian Lambert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Lambert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Gardener in the 38th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Glyn Couzens in the 58th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wally Howarth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glyn Couzens in the 59th minute of the match. Christian Atkinson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Andy Gardener who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Christian Lambert when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wally Howarth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Atkinson in the 69th minute of the match. Christian Lambert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russell McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Andy Gardener could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Christian Lambert made a huge save. After 77 minutes, Christian Atkinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hadleigh United and the Airblue players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hadleigh United's Christian Atkinson got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Glasby in the 79th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Atkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Christian Lambert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russell McDonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Christian Lambert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russell McDonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Russell McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Lambert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joe Glasby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Gardener's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Christian Lambert skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Airblue's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
