The referee ignored Airblue's protests and gave Henry Keyworth a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ booed when Airblue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Keyworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alan Swanson fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Airblue's protests and gave Alan Swanson a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Airblue got a freekick which was hit by Alan Swanson. In the 13th minute, Andy Gardener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Airblue's Wally Howarth got control of the ball when Ivan Turner tried to sneak it across the goal line. The coaching staff of Airblue protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Brynn Delamore had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Airblue getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Brynn Delamore hit a great ball. The long shot by Oliver Harding in the 29th minute really tested Wally Howarth's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Knight in the 36th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Airblue's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Davey came free, but Wally Howarth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ollie Davey to strike the kick off in the second half. Airblue's Wally Howarth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvester Knight in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute Silvester Knight shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Howarth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russell McDonald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody York having to interfere. A collision led to ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sebastien Wakefield hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Alan Swanson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Russell McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cody York tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Airblue succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ had controlled the match.
