After 20 played minutes Airblue got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Adcock. Wally Howarth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Bowler in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Cotterill in the 30th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Don Cotterill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alwinton FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Wally Howarth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Inge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wally Howarth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Cotterill in the 46th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wally Howarth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Inge in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danny Bowler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Danny Bowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wally Howarth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliberto Inge in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Airblue's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Bond came free, but Wally Howarth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes, Jools Topham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alwinton FC and the Airblue players grew even worse after the yellow card. 57 minutes into the game, one of Alwinton FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 77th minute of the match Alan Swanson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Connor Rouse skillfully saved the ball. Danny Bowler was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Alwinton FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Feliberto Inge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wally Howarth came out and tried to block the shot, but Feliberto Inge slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Bond in the 89th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wally Howarth was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Danny Bowler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-9 in the 90 minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Danny Bowler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alwinton FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Airblue the free kick. Danny Bowler hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the match was over Alwinton FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Airblue throughout the match.
