Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danny Bowler took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Alwinton FC booed when Woodbridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calum Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Inge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Joel Beckham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danny Bowler scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Beckham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Woodbridge fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Danny Bowler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Beckham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Inge in the 17th minute of the match. Danny Bowler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Joel Beckham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon Bonds charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 24th minute Danny Bowler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Beckham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Woodbridge's Greg Parkinson got a free kick in the 26th minute. Danny Bowler took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Beckham. Joel Beckham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Woodbridge's Joel Beckham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Bowler in the 31st minute of play. At last the ball reached Danny Bowler at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Woodbridge. 0-4. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Danny Bowler sped through Woodbridge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel Beckham. Don Cotterill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Joel Beckham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40th play minutes Feliberto Inge shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Joel Beckham and just under the crossbar into goal. Danny Bowler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Syd Abbotts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Danny Bowler recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joel Beckham. Danny Bowler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Feliberto Inge's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joel Beckham firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Woodbridge's goalkeeper Joel Beckham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Calum Holt charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Danny Bowler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Beckham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Joel Beckham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Bowler in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Joseph Collingwood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woodbridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alwinton FC the free kick. Alwinton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Cotterill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alwinton FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
