After 8 minutes of play, Alwinton FC's Danny Bowler made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Lambert was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Hadleigh United's Bradley Phelps got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Feliberto Inge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Lambert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Bowler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Bowler struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Christian Lambert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alwinton FC. Vern Wiley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Rouse having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Danny Bowler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Christian Lambert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Martin Thornton struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Christian Lambert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alwinton FC. Christian Lambert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Bowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Danny Bowler came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Alwinton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Bowler couldn't finish the play. Feliberto Inge struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. When Don Cotterill came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Alwinton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Cotterill couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
Alwinton FC's Feliberto Inge got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Lambert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shaun Hall in the 55th minute of play. Christian Lambert came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Alwinton FC's Don Cotterill. But to his dismay, Don Cotterill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 71 minutes into the match, Feliberto Inge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Lambert. Hadleigh United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feliberto Inge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After a defensive mix-up in Hadleigh United's zone, Feliberto Inge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Lambert came out of the goal and Feliberto Inge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alwinton FC's Danny Bowler got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Danny Bowler put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Christian Lambert.
