Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danny Bowler took the kick off in the first half of the match. When ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Ollie Davey in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alwinton FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 9 minutes of play, Alwinton FC's Danny Bowler made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cody York was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cody York showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Bowler in the 12th minute of the match. Den Mulford was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alwinton FC:s goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Alwinton FC. Don Cotterill stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cody York. 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, Ollie Davey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Connor Rouse, 1-2. In the 23rd minute Ollie Davey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Rouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cody York showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Inge, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ defense, Don Cotterill kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cody York. The ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cody York should have stopped the shot. After recieving a nice pass, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Oliver Harding tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Danny Bowler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cody York was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After having played for 40 minutes, Danny Bowler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alwinton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Bowler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cody York showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Bowler in the 41st minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Silvester Knight mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ and the Alwinton FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Silvester Knight hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Gregory Patten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ollie Davey was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Ollie Davey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Rouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Knight in the 56th minute of play forced Alwinton FC's goalkeeper Connor Rouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Feliberto Inge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cody York was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Don Cotterill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feliberto Inge took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cody York. Cody York dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Connor Rouse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvester Knight in the 70th minute of play. Don Cotterill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody York having to interfere. When Ian Bond came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Alwinton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Bond couldn't finish the play. In the 76th match minute, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Harding to maneuver through the defense. Don Cotterill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Don Cotterill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute Ollie Davey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Connor Rouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alwinton FC's Connor Rouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvester Knight in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ollie Davey managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ollie Davey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Connor Rouse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Don Cotterill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alwinton FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
