Aavroun Stadium
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Benzecry Sarussi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Weisblum in the 4th minute of play forced Azor's goalkeeper Ranni Channah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Weisblum struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Ranni Channah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aavroun. Ranni Channah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Weisblum in the 14th minute of the match. Benaya Erez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Arik Beltzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Weisblum in the 22nd minute of play forced Azor's goalkeeper Ranni Channah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arik Beltzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benaya Erez in the 30th minute of play. John Weisblum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Isaiah Modaee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Isaiah Modaee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aavroun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Benzecry Sarussi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arik Beltzer. Aavroun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benzecry Sarussi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Weisblum was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Isaiah Modaee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aavroun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaiah Modaee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Weisblum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the game, John Weisblum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ranni Channah was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute, Isaiah Modaee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aavroun fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. John Weisblum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ranni Channah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Abel Brotchi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aavroun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Brotchi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Aavroun's Isaiah Modaee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ranni Channah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 82nd minute John Weisblum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ranni Channah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azor's Ranni Channah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaiah Modaee in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Aavroun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sar-Shalom Casa to maneuver through the defense. Azor's Giannes Miken couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Aavroun. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benzecry Sarussi in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arik Beltzer saved Aavroun from getting behind. Benzecry Sarussi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Arik Beltzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaiah Modaee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ranni Channah having to interfere. Ranni Channah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Weisblum, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the referee ended the match the Aavroun players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
