The referee ignored FC Tsourel's protests and gave Ayalon Blume a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Haifa Robi Shapira booed when FC Tsourel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ayalon Blume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rivai Samuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amnon Ziss in the 22nd minute of play. Rivai Samuel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adin Matzlawi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Amnon Ziss's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rivai Samuel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 40th minute Adin Matzlawi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rivai Samuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Amnon Ziss made a precise shot to the right of Rivai Samuel. FC Tsourel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half SC Haifa Robi Shapira were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
