Nasko Chandrevs short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Dedê Hermes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Raimo Odar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dedê Hermes. Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 13 played minutes Trabzonspor FK got a freekick which was hit by Raimo Odar. The audience was convinced that Uriah Hildesheimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franciszek Burufski was relentless in the 17th minute of the game.
