Loukianos Sarantopoulos started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Marinos Chiotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efthimis Aggellakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christos Kazoleas struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Efthimis Aggellakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PAOK FC. In the 6th minute, Giannis Tsarouchis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marinos Chiotis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Marinos Chiotis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of PAOK FC booed when Plataniαs BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stergios Charalambopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, PAOK FC's Christos Kazoleas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Efthimis Aggellakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ilias Banasopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Panagiotis Katsourinis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Ilias Banasopoulos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Christos Kazoleas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes PAOK FC got a freekick which was hit by Michalis Loulakis. The Plataniαs BC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PAOK FC were winning 0-1.

A collision led to Plataniαs BC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Giorgos Kalamaropoulos hit a great ball. PAOK FC's Marinos Chiotis got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Plataniαs BC's Efthimis Aggellakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinos Chiotis in the 64th minute of play. Ilias Banasopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panagiotis Katsourinis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukianos Sarantopoulos in the 79th minute of the match. Panagiotis Katsourinis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loukianos Sarantopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loukianos Sarantopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Katsourinis having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, one of PAOK FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Plataniαs BC a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Giorgos Kalamaropoulos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of PAOK FC's Panagiotis Katsourinis. 1-1. Panagiotis Katsourinis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Loukianos Sarantopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 99 played minutes PAOK FC got a freekick which was hit by Spyros Pavlos. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
