After having played for 35 minutes, Manolis Daniilidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yianνtsi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manolis Daniilidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alkaios Perakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alkaios Perakis to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Dimitris Kalivrousis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yianνtsi's Lambis Markos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Avesalσs FC's Leonidas Lebesis got a free kick in the 54th minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Alkaios Perakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avesalσs FC's Apostolis Douzas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkaios Perakis in the 66th minute of play. Pantelis Psiloglou's late challenge caught a Avesalσs FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pantelis Psiloglou helped the player get up and apologised. When Avesalσs FC's Dimitris Kalivrousis, in the 83rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Avesalσs FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thanasis Psichogiopoulos got free with Lambis Markos in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Avesalσs FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Avesalσs FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
