The audience was convinced that Dionysis Vamvakidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefanos Nentakis was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Vaggelis Kipouros ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 48th minute of the match, Stavros Soukis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juan Antonio Concepcion was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 92 played minutes Dionysis Vamvakidis could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-6 into the left cross. Dionysis Vamvakidis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 98th minute, ASTERAS SYROU FC's Dionysis Vamvakidis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. ASTERAS SYROU FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
