In the 5th minute, Giannis Maniatis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, AEKFC's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Sinodinos came free, but Markos Karypidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Giannis Maniatis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miltos Sinodinos in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Markos Karypidis saved AEKFC from getting behind. After having played for 14 minutes, Miltos Sinodinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arkochóri BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miltos Sinodinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Takis Sidiropoulos struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Alketas Gagatsis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEKFC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Takis Sidiropoulos in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alketas Gagatsis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arkochóri BC:s Alketas Gagatsis showed great skill when he stopped Charalambos Kourmouzis:s penalty. Giannis Maniatis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markos Karypidis having to interfere. Markos Karypidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miltos Sinodinos's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Sinodinos in the 36th minute of play forced AEKFC's goalkeeper Markos Karypidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Arkochóri BC's Giannis Maniatis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markos Karypidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arkochóri BC's goalkeeper Alketas Gagatsis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miltos Sinodinos to make the kick off. AEKFC's Markos Karypidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miltos Sinodinos in the 72nd minute of play. If Giannis Maniatis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miltos Sinodinos scored 3-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Markos Karypidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giannis Maniatis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Markos Karypidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Giannis Maniatis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute.
