Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) A. O AEK SYROY's Andreas Sepsas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in A. O AEK SYROY's zone, Giannis Maniatis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Toscano came out of the goal and Giannis Maniatis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Efthimis Mirtsos managed to get in a good position for a shot. A. O AEK SYROY's supporters rose to their feet, but Efthimis Mirtsos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alketas Gagatsis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alketas Gagatsis came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by A. O AEK SYROY's Efthimis Mirtsos. But to his dismay, Efthimis Mirtsos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Efthimis Mirtsos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alketas Gagatsis. Arkochóri BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efthimis Mirtsos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 26th minute, Evripidis Tripolitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A. O AEK SYROY's Valdir Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save A. O AEK SYROY from getting a goal against them. When Pipis Romanos fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arkochóri BC's protests and gave Pipis Romanos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of A. O AEK SYROY booed when Arkochóri BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolis Bagasakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arkochóri BC's Alketas Gagatsis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Sepsas in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Efthimis Mirtsos managed to get in a good position for a shot. A. O AEK SYROY's supporters rose to their feet, but Efthimis Mirtsos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alketas Gagatsis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 played minutes Arkochóri BC got a freekick which was hit by Tolis Bagasakis. In the 45th minute Efthimis Mirtsos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alketas Gagatsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miltos Sinodinos to make the kick off. Pipis Romanos struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Valdir Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arkochóri BC. After 52 minutes, Evripidis Tripolitis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A. O AEK SYROY and the Arkochóri BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, A. O AEK SYROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evripidis Tripolitis to maneuver through the defense. Efthimis Mirtsos in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alketas Gagatsis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A. O AEK SYROY's Andreas Sepsas got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Efthimis Mirtsos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. A. O AEK SYROY's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alketas Gagatsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Sepsas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Efthimis Mirtsos struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Alketas Gagatsis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A. O AEK SYROY. Andreas Sepsas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Alketas Gagatsis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Andreas Sepsas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Arkochóri BC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Efthimis Mirtsos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A. O AEK SYROY's Dionysis Theofilakos was substituted for Emmanouil Vouzatos. Efthimis Mirtsos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Alketas Gagatsis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
