Themis Markas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emmanouil Skarmoutsos firmly grabbed it by the left post. The attack was good, but when Panos Keratzoglou in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚΟΣ's Lambros Kalyvopoulos got a free kick in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in AEK's zone, Panos Keratzoglou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marinos Tochouroglou came out of the goal and Panos Keratzoglou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marinos Tochouroglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thrasivoulos Antzas in the 40th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Panos Keratzoglou made a precise shot to the right of Marinos Tochouroglou. AEK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panos Keratzoglou was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Themis Markas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emmanouil Skarmoutsos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emmanouil Skarmoutsos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Panos Keratzoglous short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Marinos Tochouroglou to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thrasivoulos Antzas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kostas Gletsos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marinos Tochouroglou having to interfere. If Thrasivoulos Antzas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚΟΣ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
