Ximpatzides FC's Minas Gisgakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Rogas in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ximpatzides FC's Iason Bethanis got a free kick in the 15th minute. Minas Gisgakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spyros Rogas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ximpatzides FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nontas Katritsis hit a great ball. Khalkion FC's Aggelos Prevezanos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ximpatzides FC. 24 minutes into the match, Khalkion FC's goalkeeper Andreas Nikiforou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pantelis Ntaikos. Fivos Trechalas's late challenge caught a Ximpatzides FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fivos Trechalas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Khalkion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fivos Trechalas to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Khalkion FC's Fivos Trechalas got a free kick in the 29th minute. Andreas Nikiforou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thodoris Moraitis in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Spyros Rogas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Khalkion FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Spyros Rogas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Minas Gisgakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ximpatzides FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Miltos Rigas hit a great ball. Aggelos Prevezanos struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Minas Gisgakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Khalkion FC. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pantelis Ntaikos to make the kick off. The Ximpatzides FC fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Ximpatzides FC's Thodoris Moraitis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 80 minutes, Pantelis Stavrinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khalkion FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pantelis Stavrinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Spyros Rogas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Minas Gisgakis having to interfere. Ximpatzides FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
