With an extended leg and a bit of luck Minas Gitsioudis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute, Argyris Zotalopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malounion BC's Panos Louboutis was substituted for Paschalis Christoulis. A collision led to Fragko BC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dimitris Pachopoulos hit a great ball. Fragko BC's Minas Gitsioudis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argyris Zotalopoulos in the 14th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Telis Psichogiopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malounion BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Telis Psichogiopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Minas Gitsioudis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20thth minute of the game Argyris Zotalopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fragko BC's Minas Gitsioudis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Akis Zervidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fragko BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malounion BC the free kick. Akis Zervidis kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Alexandros Aggeloulis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malounion BC and the Fragko BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Malounion BC's zone, Diogenis Panagis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Jupâneanu came out of the goal and Diogenis Panagis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diogenis Panagis during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fragko BC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Diogenis Panagis hit a great ball. When Kostas Skrekis came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Malounion BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kostas Skrekis couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Fragko BC's Liviu Jupâneanu threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Diogenis Panagis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Liviu Jupâneanu made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Lazaros Giannopoulos sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Malounion BC's goalkeeper Liviu Jupâneanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lazaros Giannopoulos.

In the 52nd minute, Vaios Kafritzakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fragko BC's Diogenis Panagis got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kostas Skrekis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Minas Gitsioudis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitris Pachopoulos was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Dimitris Pachopoulos hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Fragko BC's Lazaros Giannopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Liviu Jupâneanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Malounion BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 77 minutes into the match, Argyris Zotalopoulos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Fragko BC's Minas Gitsioudis.
