Marinos Batiris got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 25th minute, one of Oropus:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oropus. The referee gave Zaknthos a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alfonso Loreto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Oropus's Loukas Tripitsidis. 0-2. Alfonso Loreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loukas Tripitsidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfonso Loreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Stratos Panakakis hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Loreto in the 35th minute of play forced Oropus's goalkeeper Loukas Tripitsidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oropus's Loukas Tripitsidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Leontakoglou in the 36th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Oropus got a freekick which was hit by Miltos Iordanopoulos.
