Spectators: 7554 (Terracing: 5667, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alkis Kastanopoulos took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Pyrgi's Alkis Kastanopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kleanthis Brizolakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 6th minute, Christos Adamou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Miltiadis Okkas took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Evaggelos Routsis to make any attempt to save it. After 9 played minutes West side story got a freekick which was hit by Panos Nestoridis. When Alkis Kastanopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pyrgi's protests and gave Alkis Kastanopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. When Apostolos Saroglou came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Pyrgi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apostolos Saroglou couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pyrgi's zone, Miltiadis Okkas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaggelos Routsis came out of the goal and Miltiadis Okkas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dionysis Pagonakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Routsis having to interfere. Alkis Kastanopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kleanthis Brizolakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alkis Kastanopoulos's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The supporters of West side story booed when Pyrgi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odysseas Thanoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Minas Katsiaros shot from long distance in the 35th minute, but Evaggelos Routsis was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolos Saroglou in the 36th minute of play forced West side story's goalkeeper Kleanthis Brizolakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alkis Kastanopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kleanthis Brizolakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in West side story's zone, Apostolos Saroglou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kleanthis Brizolakis came out of the goal and Apostolos Saroglou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apostolos Saroglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kleanthis Brizolakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apostolos Saroglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miltiadis Okkas was the one to do the kick off. Evaggelos Routsis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltiadis Okkas in the 52nd minute of the match. Alkis Kastanopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kleanthis Brizolakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alkis Kastanopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Apostolos Saroglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 minutes, Christos Adamou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pyrgi and the West side story players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Pyrgi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christos Adamou to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd match minute, West side story was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theagenis Georgakopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Apostolos Saroglou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kleanthis Brizolakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Apostolos Saroglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kleanthis Brizolakis having to interfere. Apostolos Saroglou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Kleanthis Brizolakis made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Stamatis Dokas put in a rough tackle. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pyrgi! In the 87th minute there was a penalty for West side story. Minas Katsiaros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evaggelos Routsis. 2-1. Nasos Vrettos kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. West side story's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Apostolos Saroglou scored to the left of an out of position Kleanthis Brizolakis, making the score, 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
