But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manos Theodorou couldn't finish the play. Bogumil Maruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alkinoos Kafes having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Ayios Nikólaos got a freekick which was hit by Theofanis Papadopoulos. Riverpool walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
